Ad Rules
Rules for Listing Ads:
1.) Ads placed to defraud members will be removed ASAP and the user who placed said ad will be permanently banned.
2.) Ads must be in the English language. A translation in any other language/s can be placed under the English language text.
3.) Ad titles must reflect the item being sold and be of a reasonable length. It should be clear from the title alone what is being sold.
4.) The correct category for each ad must be placed. Items in all but the custom categories should be available to deliver to a customer immediately. There is a “Custom” category for items that can be customized. If your listing contains items that can be made “however you want” “how you like” “as sweaty as you want them” etc. they must go in the appropriate “Custom” category.
5.) Ads must be for one item category only. If you are selling shorts and socks, they must each go into separate categories, one for each ad.
*If you are selling 5 pairs of underwear, of different sizes, that can go into one ad if you are selling the items together. Just make sure your pictures and ad text reflect each of them.
*If you are selling different custom items, make sure that each item is in the appropriate ad category and that the pictures and ad text reflect samples of what is for sale.
6.) Main Picture must be of the item being sold. When selling an item as a pair, such as socks, both items must be shown.
7.) No ads posted to advertise another website.
8.) Ads must be for physical items only.
Prohibited
Here is a partial list of goods, services, and content prohibited on SOCKTRADE:
*child pornography; bestiality; offers or solicitation of illegal prostitution
*false, misleading, deceptive, or fraudulent content; bait and switch; keyword spam
*offensive, obscene, defamatory, threatening, or malicious postings or email
*anyone’s personal, identifying, confidential or proprietary information
*stolen property, property with serial number removed/altered, burglary tools, etc
*US military items not demilitarized in accord with Defense Department policy
*counterfeit, replica, or pirated items;
*spam; miscategorized, overposted or multiple posted content
*postings, private messages or email the primary purpose of which is to drive traffic to a website
*postings, private messages or email offering, promoting, or linking to unsolicited products or services
*affiliate marketing; network, or multi-level marketing; pyramid schemes
*any good, service, or content that violates the law or legal rights of others
